We have had to update our infectious diseases policy to come into line with the current advice regarding COVID-19. It is important that all families are aware of the requirements to protect themselves and others attending Kidz Klub.
If anyone in your household has been tested and awaiting results, or is going to get tested, or has had a positive result from testing, your child will not be able to attend Kidz Klub until that person or your child provides proof of a negative result.
If your child has any of the following signs or symptoms, they must not attend Kidz Klub until they have been given written clearance from a doctor stating that your child is ‘not contagious’:
- Fever (temperature greater than 37.5°C)
- Sore Throat
- Runny or blocked nose
If your child turns up with any of the above signs or symptoms, please do not be offended when you are asked to take them home as they will not be able to attend.
If your child should show any of the signs or symptoms while at Kidz Klub, you will be called to organise for your child to be collected by an authorised person as soon as possible.
We are doing our very best to ensure everyone attending Kidz Klub and their families remain safe and healthy during this pandemic and hope you can see why these conditions have been implemented. We are very aware of the inconvenience this may cause some of you, but we cannot afford to take any chances and allow for widespread transmission via the children and families that attend our service. We are also aware of the children and families that already have compromised immune systems which we do not wish to place at risk.
We would like to thank the families that have already been proactive and taken precautions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of others when they have been ill or in contact with someone that has been tested. Your consideration for everyone at Kidz Klub is greatly appreciated by the staff and families attending.
